Adverse Media Screening
Paragon’s team will handle the Adverse Media Screening (AMS) process for you using the Dow Jones RiskCenter platform and generate a detailed written report for your file.
Screening for adverse media is one way for a grantmaker to reduce risk in the context of domestic and cross-border grantmaking. Adverse media screening (AMS) can complement other forms of screening employed by corporate foundations and other grantmakers, such as watchlist screening or screening for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). Adverse media screening can help generate a clearer picture of a grantee or payee’s reputation.
Adverse media searches are recommended by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) as part of an enhanced due diligence (EDD) process based on your assessment of risk. AMS can help identify potential exposure to terrorist financing, money laundering, and other criminal activities. See the FATF Recommendations.
